Church and Cemetery at Tara

There have been 2 other churches built on the Hill of Tara, this last one was built in 1822.  Some of the earliest grave stones date from the 17th century.  Several of the stones were so old that we could not read any inscriptions.  The Church yard was lovely and then we walked out through the back gate to see the rest of the incredible landscape of Tara.

Upon walking through the gate, however, we discovered that sheep are quite numerous in the area, and they apparently eat well.  If you ever come to the Hill of Tara, wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty...
