My many photos of Dunluce Castle cannot do it justice.  It is amazing how sheer a cliff it sits upon, and the magnificent views of the sea.  It is one of the most intact castle ruins we have seen.  The oldest parts of the castle were built in the early 1500's and, like many castles, it underwent change of ownership and additions and modifications as time wore on.  There were several owners as power changed hands and wars were waged for property and power.  I am attaching a copy of the cover of the guidebook to give a better picture of the castle as it now stands.
