Pleasant Turn of Phrase

I enjoy the polite turn of phrase used in Ireland.  Like saying, "Nah, you're great" or "Nah, you're grand" for no problem - it just makes you feel so good, especially when delivered in an Irish brogue!

If a person forgets what they were going to say, the response is, "It must have been a lie!"  I get a kick out of that, though I am forever forgetting what I was going to say which makes me the compulsive liar around here!

For real estate, when a property is under contract, the sign says "sale agreed" which just seems so pleasant!  Connor laughs at me as I am forever saying, everyone is so nice around here!

What also strikes me as funny is that a "plan" is referred to as a "scheme."  Thus, we got papers from Haley's school about how she could sign up for an insurance scheme!  What?!

I love it here!
