This is what the outlets look like. What is cool is that the little switch allows you to turn off the outlet without having to unplug the appliance. When the red part is showing, it is on. Thus, when Steve leaves his phone charger connected and the wire drops down to the floor, I am not worried about the dogs picking it up and getting electrocuted, as I turn off the switch when the outlet isn't in use! (Steve's problem is that he will plug his phone back in and not turn on the switch, and then the next morning his battery is dead...)
I was also planning on getting an electric toothbrush here, as I had one back home and they are great. Problem is, there are no outlets in the bathrooms! Now, I don't understand that at all! Can't use a blow-dryer in the bathroom, and can't charge your razor, toothbrush, curling iron, etc in the bathroom.
That's the skinny on the outlet situation in Ireland!
