Almost St. Paddy's Day again!

So one last picture from the Paris trip that I failed to include:

I am pointing at the Eiffel Tower, but I should have held my hand out flat under the base like I was holding it!  Oh well, will have to go back then...

Now that we know we are moving back to Chicago in June, my time here seems even more precious.  I am looking forward to being back closer to kids, family, and friends, but I will miss this gorgeous country and the lovely people  we have met.  I guess if I had named my blog, 2 years in Longford, it would have been quite accurate!  Oh well, can't change it now.

Right now Steve is in Chicago and Zach is  traveling around Munich, Prague and Berlin for three weeks.  It's just me and the pups this week.  Steve comes home on Saturday, and he has a meeting in Dublin ON the 17th of March (which is odd given that it is a National Holiday here...)  Anyway, since they are putting him up in Dublin for 2 nights, I am boarding the dogs and joining him.  I am planning to go to the National Library and maybe get some more insight into our family history.  We will see.

March is the beginning of our "guest season".  My friend Amy comes on the 22nd of March, and Steve flies back to Chicago.  Amy leaves on the 28th and Zach gets back from his trip that same day.  Steve comes back to Ireland the first week of April, and my friends Kim, Kirstin and Morna come on the 18th of April and stay to the 28th.  David comes May 5th to the 11th, and Bean and Rim come May 23 to June 1st.  Jeff and Theo and the boys come June 1st to the 7th, and then we move back to the states!  Connor and Haley will be coming that first week of June as well.  It will be busy, but I am looking forward to it!

I leave you with this for now - 2 sayings I heard while walking at the Mall:

A rainbow in the marnin' is the sailor's warnin!

Two Mary's together is a sign of bad weather!

Cheers and Shamrocks!
